Why This Edition of Art Dubai Is Different
Art Dubai 2026 is the fair’s 20th anniversary edition — and unlike any previous one. The original April dates were cancelled after regional conflict disrupted air logistics, cargo shipping and international travel across the Gulf. Fair director Dunja Gottweis rescheduled the entire event to May and restructured the format from the ground up.
Around 50 galleries confirmed attendance for the May edition, down from the 75+ originally planned. The presentations that did arrive are, by every account from the press preview, considered and ambitious.
Current circumstances mean that this may not be what we had planned to mark our 20th edition, but the galleries and wider programmes represent what makes Art Dubai both unique and special.

🚕 Ride-Hailing
Drop-off at the main entrance on Al Sufouh Road. All major ride apps operate here. Saturday evening pickup: allow 10–15 minutes extra — it gets busy.
🚇 Metro + Taxi
Red Line to Mall of the Emirates, then a taxi or ride-hail the remaining 3km. No direct bus route runs to the Madinat entrance during fair hours.
Dining runs through Madinat Jumeirah’s existing restaurants — Pai Thai, Rockfish, Trattoria Toscana and others. No need to leave the venue.
