Yes, most Global Village parking is free. Parking zones P1, P3 and P5 are free on every day of the season, and most visitors park in one of them.

There are also three paid zones, for visitors who want to park nearer to a gate or do not want to look for a free space. They cost AED 75, AED 120 and AED 200 for the day. These are the prices for Season 31, which opens on 14 October 2026.

Global Village Parking 2026

In this guide you will find which parking zones are free and how far each one is from its gate, what the paid and VIP zones cost, and which zone to choose, depending on who is with you and when you arrive. The guide ends with a short list of things to know before you park.

Is Parking at Global Village Free?

Yes, parking is free in eight zones, and three of them are open every day of the season. Those three are P1, P3 and P5. The nearest gate to all three is the Gate of the World, and you walk from your car to the gate, because Global Village lists no shuttle bus for these zones.

The other five zones, P7 to P11, are open only on weekends, public holidays and busy days. They are about 1 km from the Cultural Gate, so a free shuttle bus runs from them to the gate. The cards below show all eight free zones, with the distance to the gate and the Google Maps links:

Global Village does not say which days count as busy, so on a normal weekday plan to use P1, P3 or P5.

This chart compares the walking distances:

P3 to the Gate of the WorldAbout 400 m
P5 to the Gate of the WorldAbout 450 m
P7 to P11 to the Cultural GateAbout 1 km
P7 to P11 have a free shuttle bus to the Cultural Gate. No distance is published for Paid Parking (AED 120) or VIP Parking (AED 200), so they have no bar.

The free zones that open every day are only 50 to 100 metres further from a gate than Paid Parking 2, the paid zone with the shortest published walk. The difference is so small that most visitors do not need to pay for parking.

How Much Is Paid and VIP Parking at Global Village?

Paid parking at Global Village costs AED 75, AED 120 or AED 200 for the day, depending on the zone. Each fee covers the whole day. There is no hourly rate, and the price is the same on weekdays and weekends.

What the paid parking zones cost

Paid Parking 2AED 75

VIP ParkingAED 200
VIP Parking is free for VIP pack holders. P1, P3 and P5 cost AED 0 every day.
  • Paid Parking 2, AED 75. It is about 350 metres from the Happiness Gate, which is the shortest walk that Global Village publishes for any zone. Paid Parking 2 on Google Maps
  • Paid Parking, AED 120. Global Village does not publish how far it is from a gate, or which gate is nearest. Paid Parking on Google Maps
  • VIP Parking, AED 200. Global Village does not publish its distance from a gate either. VIP Parking on Google Maps

Anyone can use VIP Parking by paying AED 200 for the day. You do not need a VIP pack. If you have a VIP pack, you park there free. Our guide to the Global Village VIP packs explains what each pack includes.

The way you pay for VIP Parking is changing this season. Khaleej Times reported that Global Village is adding self-payment machines, so you can pay before you drive to the exit. Until now you could pay only at the exit, which made the queue of cars slower. It has not been published where the machines are, or whether they take cash or cards.

For the AED 75 and AED 120 zones, Global Village has not said how you pay this season. Its official page gives only the prices. Last season (Season 30), the fee was taken automatically from the driver's Salik eWallet, the account used for Dubai's road tolls. Drivers without Salik paid in the Parkonic app or at a Parkonic pay station.

Global Village has not said whether the same system is used this season. So carry a bank card, and check the official Plan Your Visit page before you go.

Which Global Village Parking Should You Use?

Most visitors should use P1 or P3. Both are free, open every day and about 400 metres from the Gate of the World. A paid zone is worth the money when P1 and P3 are full, or when you want to enter through the Happiness Gate. This table compares all the zones:

The best zone for you depends on who is in the car and when you arrive. These four cards cover the most common situations:

Which Global Village parking zone to use
Based on the distances and gates that Global Village publishes.
With small children or older parents
Paid Parking 2
AED 75. The shortest published walk: about 350 m to the Happiness Gate. On a quiet day, P1 and P3 are free and about 50 m further.
Arriving early on a weekday
P1 or P3
Free. About 400 m to the Gate of the World.
Arriving on a Friday or Saturday evening
P7 to P11, or pay
P1, P3 and P5 fill up fast. P7 to P11 are free and about 1 km from the Cultural Gate, with a free shuttle bus. Paid zones start at AED 75.
Wanting the shortest walk
Paid Parking 2
About 350 m to the Happiness Gate for AED 75. No distance is published for the AED 120 and AED 200 zones.

If you are coming with small children or older parents, choose the zone with the shortest walk. Paid Parking 2 has the shortest published walk, but P1 and P3 are free and only about 50 metres further. So on a quiet weekday, try the free zones first and pay the AED 75 only if they are full.

On a Friday or Saturday evening, the free zones near the gate fill up fast, so you may be sent to P7 to P11, which are about 1 km from the Cultural Gate. If you have children or older parents with you, take the free shuttle bus from there and do not walk. If you do not want to depend on the shuttle, use a paid zone on these nights.

Think before you pay for the two more expensive zones. Press reports describe paid parking as close to the gates, but Global Village gives no distance for the AED 120 zone or for VIP Parking. So nothing published shows that you walk less from the AED 200 zone than from the AED 75 zone.

Things to Know Before You Park at Global Village

The two difficult parts of parking at Global Village are arriving on a busy night and leaving at closing time, so most of the points below are about them:

  1. Weekend evenings fill up fast. Gulf News reported that parking fills up quickly at weekends and told drivers to allow extra time. Sunday to Thursday is quieter.
  2. The exit can be slow at closing time. Gulf News also reported that leaving at the end of a night can mean a long wait at the exit. If your children are tired, leave a little before closing time.
  3. From P7 to P11, use the free shuttle to the Cultural Gate, or take a rickshaw, which costs "from AED 10". Global Village does not say whether that price is per person or per ride, so ask before you get in.
  4. Remember which zone you parked in. The parking zones are near three different gates, so take a photo of the zone sign before you walk away. New direction signs have been added in the main parking zones this season.
  5. There is no P2, P4 or P6 this season. The official list of zones does not include them. The paid zones are called Paid Parking and Paid Parking 2. News reports last season called the AED 75 zone "P6".
  6. There is parking for People of Determination, but its location is not published. Global Village lists a zone called POD Parking for People of Determination and promises reserved parking. Ask the staff at the car park entrance, or call Global Village on +971 4 567 5050 before you go.
  7. You can come without a car. Our guide to the bus and Metro to Global Village has the routes.

FAQs

Is Parking 1 at Global Village free?

Is there a Global Village parking map?

There is no separate parking map to download. The official Plan Your Visit page has an interactive park map with a Parking category, and each parking zone has its own Google Maps link on that page.

Is Global Village parking charged by the hour?

No. The paid zones charge for the whole day: AED 75 for Paid Parking 2, AED 120 for Paid Parking and AED 200 for VIP Parking. No hourly fee is published, and the free zones cost nothing however long you stay.

Can you pay for Global Village parking with Salik?

Global Village has not said so for Season 31. Last season the fee for the paid zones was taken automatically from the driver's Salik eWallet, and drivers without Salik paid in the Parkonic app or at a Parkonic pay station. The official Season 31 page gives prices only.

Is there a shuttle from the Global Village car park to the gate?

Yes, from zones P7 to P11. A free shuttle bus runs from these zones to the Cultural Gate, which is about 1 km away. Global Village lists no shuttle for P1, P3, P5 or the paid zones. P1, P3, P5 and Paid Parking 2 are a walk of 350 to 450 metres from a gate, and no distance is published for the other two paid zones.
