Which Bus and Metro Take You to Global Village in 2026? Routes, Timings and Fares
No Dubai Metro line reaches Global Village. The nearest Metro station with a direct bus is Mall of the Emirates, about 21 km away by road. Four RTA buses go to Global Village: 102 from Al Rashidiya, 103 from Union, 104 from Al Ghubaiba and 106 from Mall of the Emirates, every 40 to 60 minutes.
You can reach Global Village without a car, but the Metro alone will not get you there. No Metro line goes to Global Village. You take the Metro to one of four stations and change there to an RTA bus that goes straight to the park.
So which bus and Metro take you to Global Village? The buses are 102, 103, 104 and 106, and they start running again on Wednesday 14 October 2026, the day the park opens.
Which Bus and Metro Take You to Global Village?
In this guide you will find the Metro stations closest to Global Village and the bus you take at each one, then the full list of buses that go to Global Village, with their timings, the fare and the last bus home.
Reaching Global Village by Metro
No Metro line reaches Global Village directly. And no Metro station is close enough to walk from.
So if you are taking a metro to reach this Dubai attraction, you will have to take a bus after alighting from the metro.
The nearest station where you can change to a direct bus is Mall of the Emirates, about 21 km from the park by road. The other three stations with a direct bus are Centrepoint, Al Ghubaiba and Union.
The closest Metro stations by road
This table lists the four Metro stations closest to Global Village by road, and the four stations that have a direct bus. Mall of the Emirates is in both groups.
| Station | Metro line | Road distance | ~ Drive time (w/o traffic) | Direct bus? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dubai Internet City | Red | 20.3 km | 24 minutes | No |
| Jumeirah Golf Estates | Red | 20.6 km | 22 minutes | No |
| Mall of the Emirates | Red | 20.9 km | 26 minutes | Yes, bus 106 |
| InsuranceMarket | Red | 21.3 km | 23 minutes | No |
| Centrepoint (Al Rashidiya Bus Station) | Red | 24.1 km | 19 minutes | Yes, bus 102 |
| Al Ghubaiba | Green | 28.7 km | 37 minutes | Yes, bus 104 |
| Union | Red and Green | 31.1 km | 31 minutes | Yes, bus 103 |
We measured these distances in Google Maps driving directions on 13 October 2026. They are for a car, and the drive times are what Google showed at about 4:50pm that day, so they will change with traffic.
Dubai Internet City and Jumeirah Golf Estates are slightly closer by road, but no Global Village bus leaves from them. From either one you would need a taxi for the whole 20 km. It is cheaper to take the Metro to Mall of the Emirates and get on bus 106 there.
The map shows where the park is and how far each station is from it by road.
Global Village is inland, to the south-east of the Red Line. Union and Al Ghubaiba are in the old part of the city, so they are about 8 to 10 km further from the park by road than Mall of the Emirates.
Which bus you take at each Metro station
Each of the four Metro stations has an RTA bus station beside it or a short walk away. When you leave the Metro, follow the signs for the bus station and look for your route number.
- Mall of the Emirates, Red Line: bus 106. Mall of the Emirates Bus Station is beside the Metro station. The bus leaves every 60 minutes.
- Centrepoint, Red Line: bus 102. RTA calls the starting point Al Rashidiya Bus Station. It is the bus station beside Centrepoint Metro station, which was called Rashidiya until 2021. The bus leaves every 60 minutes.
- Union, Red and Green Lines: bus 103. Union Bus Station is beside the Metro station. The bus leaves every 40 minutes, which is more often than the other three.
- Al Ghubaiba, Green Line: bus 104. Al Ghubaiba Bus Station is a short walk from the Metro station. The bus leaves every 60 minutes.
Which Metro station to use from your part of the city
The closest station to the park is not always the right one for you. Choose the bus station that your Metro line reaches first, so that you do not ride past it and then come back.
- From Dubai Marina, JLT, The Greens or Al Barsha: you are already on the Red Line, a few stops from Mall of the Emirates.
- From Downtown or Business Bay: Mall of the Emirates is three stops from Business Bay station and four from Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station.
- From DIFC: Financial Centre station is five stops from Mall of the Emirates and six from Union. Choose Mall of the Emirates, because bus 106 takes about 35 to 40 minutes and bus 103 from Union takes about an hour.
- From Deira, Bur Dubai, Karama or Oud Metha: Union is where the Red and Green Lines meet. If you live in the old part of Bur Dubai, Al Ghubaiba station may be nearer to you.
- From Al Rashidiya, Mirdif or near the airport: Centrepoint is the last station at this end of the Red Line. Mirdif has no Metro station, so go to Al Rashidiya Bus Station by taxi or local bus.
If you are coming from Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah or Abu Dhabi, the next section has the buses for you.
Reaching Global Village by Bus
Four RTA buses go to Global Village this season: routes 102, 103, 104 and 106. Each one starts at a bus station beside a Metro station: 102 at Centrepoint, 103 at Union, 104 at Al Ghubaiba and 106 at Mall of the Emirates.
You do not need the Metro to use them. If you live near one of these four bus stations, or another bus takes you there, you can get on the Global Village bus directly.
Every bus route that goes to Global Village
RTA named the four routes in its notice of 12 October 2026. They run from Wednesday 14 October 2026 until the season ends in May 2027.
No other RTA bus stops at Global Village. We looked up the Global Village bus stop in Google Maps on 13 October 2026, and it listed only these four routes. Route 107 from Al Nahda and route 108 from Al Satwa ran in the 2024 to 2025 season, but RTA has not announced them for this season.
Here is each route, with where it starts, where it stops, how long the ride takes and the first and last bus.
Buses 102 and 106 are the quickest, at about 30 to 40 minutes. Buses 103 and 104 take about an hour, because they start in the old part of the city.
The stops on the way come from the Global Village website, and that text has not changed since last season. If you want to get on at one of those stops, ask RTA first whether the bus picks up passengers there.
Check the times on the day you travel. RTA does not have a web page for each route, so the cards give you two places to check:
- RTA Journey Planner. Open the "Routes Timetable" tab, type the route number and press Search.
- Google Maps. The link in each card opens public transport directions from that bus station to Global Village, with the next buses.
Buses from Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi
Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah each have a direct bus to Global Village, according to a Gulf News report of 13 October 2026. The times in that report are the same as last season's. Ajman Transport Authority and RAKTA had not published their own timetables for this season when we checked on 13 October 2026, so confirm with them before you travel.
There is no direct bus from Sharjah or Abu Dhabi. You take an RTA intercity bus into Dubai and change to a Global Village bus at the same station:
- From Sharjah: bus E303 runs from Al Jubail Bus Station to Union, where bus 103 starts. Bus E306 runs from Al Jubail Bus Station to Al Ghubaiba, where bus 104 starts.
- From Abu Dhabi: bus E100 runs from Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station to Al Ghubaiba Bus Station, where bus 104 starts.
- From Ajman, if the direct bus does not suit you: bus E400 runs from Ajman Bus Station to Union.
These four intercity routes are in RTA's bus route list.
Bus timings, the fare and the last bus home
The buses start in the afternoon and keep running until after the park closes. On Wednesday 14 October 2026, the first buses leave the four stations between 2:15pm and 2:45pm, and the last ones leave between 10:55pm and 11:45pm. These times are from Google Maps, which shows RTA's timetable, and we read them on 13 October 2026.
The Global Village website gives shorter hours: it says the buses usually run from 3.15pm to 11.15pm. That sentence is unchanged from last season, so trust the live times more.
The fare is AED 10 for one trip, and you pay with a Nol card, according to the Gulf News report. RTA's own notice does not mention the fare. AED 10 is also what RTA charged in the 2023 to 2024 season. Top up your Nol card with enough for both trips before you leave home.
Now plan the trip home, because the bus, the park and the Metro all stop at different times.
The last bus leaves Global Village about 15 to 30 minutes after the park closes:
- On Wednesday 14 October, when the park closes at 12:00am, the last buses leave at 12:15am (103), 12:20am (104 and 106) and 12:30am (102).
- On Friday 16 October, when the park closes at 1:00am, the last buses leave at 1:20am (103, 104 and 106) and 1:30am (102).
If you need the Metro after the bus, leave much earlier. The Metro stops at 12:00am on most nights and at 1:00am on Friday night. The last buses reach their stations after that. On a weeknight, take a bus that leaves Global Village by about 10:30pm, so that you reach the station before 11:30pm.
To confirm the times on the day, call RTA on 800 9090. Ask: "What time is the last bus on route 103 from Global Village to Union tonight, and what is the fare?"
If you miss the last bus, you will need a taxi. The venue lists RTA taxis, Careem and Uber. No taxi fare is published, so check the price in the app before you book.
