Dubai Summer Surprises 2026
Dubai Summer Surprises 2026 is a citywide summer festival where shops, hotels, and attractions run special offers, while malls host daily shows and prize draws. It is organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) — the government body behind Dubai’s shopping festivals — under the theme Make it a Dubai Summer.
The festival is now in its stride, so the deals are live and the raffles are open. For the full breakdown of every window, see our DSS 2026 dates and full schedule.

The Great Dubai Summer Sale: Shopping and Flash Sales
The Great Dubai Summer Sale is the headline shopping event of DSS 2026, with discounts of up to 80% at more than 1,000 brands and weekend flash sales that push savings to 90%. It launched on 2 July and runs across malls citywide.
The season opened with a bang. On 2 July, a 12-Hour Sale ran from 10am to 10pm at Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif, City Centre Deira, and other Majid Al Futtaim malls, with up to 90% off over 100 brands.
Deeper cuts land on weekends. Fashion sees the biggest drops, so plan big buys around Friday to Sunday.
The opening weekend ran 3–5 July with limited-time deals on gold, diamonds, and pearls at taking-part stores.
Luxury pop-ups, early product previews, and curated services run for high-end shoppers through the season.
Not every day carries the same price. Regular DSS days sit around 25% to 50% off, while the flash windows are where the real savings hide.
DSS 2026 Raffles: How to Win Cars, Gold, Cash, and a Home
DSS 2026 raffles are prize draws linked to your shopping. Spend a set amount at a taking-part mall, register your receipt, and you enter draws for cars, gold, cash, and even a home in Dubai.
This year’s line-up is the richest yet. Here are the confirmed campaigns running right now.
| Raffle | Prize | How to enter |
|---|---|---|
| Win Your Home in Dubai | 1 of 12 Binghatti apartments | Spend AED 500, scan the in-store QR code |
| Buy Jewellery, Win Gold | Up to 3kg of gold | Spend AED 500 on jewellery for a digital coupon |
| Shop, Win & Zoom Away | Exeed cars across 9 draws | Spend AED 200 at taking-part malls |
| Dongfeng & Cash Raffle | 2026 Dongfeng 007 + AED 500,000 | Buy a Winner Pack (AED 50) at Zoom or ENOC |
| Mercato & Town Centre | Cadillac LYRIQ | Spend AED 200 via the PrivilegePLUS app |
| Dubai Festival City | MHERO car | Spend AED 300, register receipts at the desk |
| City Walk Dine Shop Win | AED 500,000 grand prize | Spend AED 100, enter via the Dream Dubai app |
There is more on top. Shoppers using the SHARE app at Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif, or City Centre Deira can win one of four prizes of one million SHARE points each, worth AED 100,000.
Always keep your receipt and read the entry steps in-store, because each campaign works a little differently. Full raffle draw dates sit in our DSS 2026 schedule.
Beat the Heat Concerts and Live Entertainment
Beat the Heat DXB returns for its fifth season at Dubai World Trade Centre, with live concerts across the summer. The full Beat the Heat concert line-up mixes Arab stars and regional favourites, and shows run through July and early August.
Free mall concerts run too. Opening weekend brought Rahma Riad and Nassif Zeytoun to City Centre Mirdif, plus Amanda Maalouf and Saif Al Ali at Dubai Hills Mall.
Modesh World and Family Fun
Modesh World is DSS’s flagship indoor family destination, running at Dubai World Trade Centre from 3 July to 23 August. It is fully air-conditioned, so kids stay comfortable even at peak summer heat.
Rides and games for all ages
Toys, treats, and souvenirs
Live shows and soft play
Beyond Modesh World, malls run their own family draws. Dubai Festival City Mall hosts a Circus in Motion show with Madagascar characters, and City Centre Mirdif opens an indoor Summer Club.
Summer Restaurant Week and Dining Deals
Summer Restaurant Week runs from 13 July to 2 August, with set menus at more than 55 venues. You get a two-course lunch for AED 80 or a three-course dinner for AED 120.
Because DSS runs in Dubai’s quieter season, restaurants and hotels price to compete. That makes it a smart window to try a table you would skip in winter.
Hotel and Staycation Deals During DSS 2026
Hotels drop their rates during DSS because summer is the low season for tourism. So you stay in better properties for less, often with breakfast or dining credit thrown in.
- Lower nightly rates than the winter peak
- Free breakfast or half-board dining
- Late checkout and pool or beach access
- Attraction tickets or dining credit in bundle deals
There is a bonus for shoppers too. Upload a mall receipt through Shop & Win Your Summer Staycations, and you enter a weekly draw for a five-star stay.
Mall Activations Across Dubai
Shopping is not the only reason to visit the malls this summer. Each big centre runs its own free or low-cost experience alongside the sales.
LEGO FIFA football activation from a AED 100 spend, plus the Dine Shop Win draw.
Circus in Motion with Madagascar characters for the whole family.
Furniture deals, Bluey parades, and a dance battle on 1 August.
The Greatest Summer Surprises with circus acts and a giant slide.
Summer Route: Unlock the Surprise, a multi-zone treasure trail.
The Miami Musical Show lands on 28 August to close the season.
To plan your days around every window, keep our DSS 2026 dates guide open on your phone. It lists sale weekends, raffle draws, and concert nights side by side.

Yes, if you plan around indoor venues. Dubai summers are very hot outdoors, but almost every DSS activity runs inside air-conditioned malls, hotels, and attractions. You also get lower hotel rates, smaller crowds, and the best shopping prices of the year. Time your trip around the flash-sale weekends and raffle draws, and the value easily beats the peak winter season.
Is DSS the same as the Dubai Shopping Festival?
No. Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) runs in summer, from July to August, and focuses on indoor shopping, raffles, and family fun. The Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) runs in winter, from December to January, with a bigger outdoor programme and cooler weather. Both are organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, but DSS is the summer edition built around beating the heat.
