You can walk through a haunted house in The Dubai Mall for AED 105, or spend an hour locked in a horror escape room from AED 120 per person. The cheapest of the haunted houses in Dubai costs AED 55.

The names are confusing, so here they are. The Dubai Mall one is called Hysteria. "Black-Out SuperNatural" is two places: Supernatural at WAFI City Mall and BlackOut in Al Quoz. The Haunted Mansion is at Game Over in Nakheel Mall.

Haunted Houses in Dubai

In this guide you will find the 11 scary attractions that are open all year, with what happens inside, the ticket price, the age limit and where to book. After the list come the extra ones for Halloween 2026, the prices side by side, how to choose by age and nerve, Abu Dhabi, and the city's ghost stories.

Prices, age limits and opening times come from each attraction's own website or booking page, as they stood on 12 October 2026. The Motiongate details come from Gulf News. Venues change prices and hours, so look at the booking page again before you pay.

Here are the scary places in Dubai that you can book today, one by one.

11 Scary Attractions Open All Year

Dubai gives you two kinds of scare. A walk-through haunted house is short: you walk through dark rooms and actors frighten you. A horror escape room locks your group in a themed room for up to 60 minutes, and you solve puzzles to get out. Some rooms have a live actor inside with you.

First, the three names people search for, and what each one really is:

Three names, cleared up
What people ask for, and what the attraction is really called.
The haunted house in The Dubai Mall
It is called Hysteria.
A 10-minute walk-through on the 2nd floor of The Dubai Mall.
AED 105 per person.
"Black-Out SuperNatural"
It is two attractions.
Supernatural, WAFI City Mall: 15 minutes, AED 55.
BlackOut, Al Quoz: 60-minute escape rooms, AED 170 to AED 230.
"Haunted Mansion"
It is an escape room at Game Over.
Nakheel Mall, Palm Jumeirah, 2nd floor.
AED 170 to AED 205 per player.

Hysteria comes first below, and the rest follow from the cheapest up. Prices are per person. Where an escape room costs less per person in a bigger group, you get the price for two players and for the largest group.

1. Hysteria, The Dubai Mall

This is the haunted house in The Dubai Mall. You walk through 15 dark rooms of fog, strobe lights and special effects, with live actors waiting inside. The story is about a family whose child has disappeared. There are no puzzles, so all you have to do is keep walking.

It is over in about 10 minutes, but the venue does not recommend it for anyone under 16. No more than four people enter together, and a group of six needs the manager's approval.

  • Where: The Dubai Mall, 2nd floor, opposite Reel Cinemas and next to KidZania. Park in Cinema parking, P7. Open daily from 10am to 11pm, and to midnight at weekends.
  • Price: AED 105 per person for one entry, with no group rates. The venue runs promotions during the year, so look at its home page before you pay.
  • Age: Not recommended under 16. A child under 13 must come with a parent, and staff may ask for ID. Pregnant visitors cannot enter. The venue advises against it for people with heart problems, claustrophobia, epilepsy, or back or knee problems.
  • Book: On the Hysteria tickets page, set the number of tickets with the "+" button and press "Add to cart". An online ticket skips the ticket line. You can also buy at the door.

2. Supernatural, WAFI City Mall

Never been inside a haunted house? Start here. For 15 minutes you look for the way out of dark rooms while live actors and sound effects surround you. The venue calls it a mini escape room, spooky but safe and good for newcomers. Staff watch every session and will guide you out if you want to stop.

It comes from the makers of the BlackOut escape rooms, and it is the cheapest scary ticket in Dubai.

  • Where: First Floor, WAFI City Mall, Oud Metha Road. Park in the Carrefour parking, or walk six minutes from Dubai Healthcare City station on the Metro Green Line. Open daily from 10am to midnight.
  • Price: AED 55 per person, for 2 to 7 players in a session.
  • Age: Recommended for ages 13 and above. A child under 13 must come with an adult.
  • Book: There is no online payment. On supernatural.ae, press "WhatsApp to book" or "Call to book", or use +971 56 539 0909. You can walk in, but the venue recommends booking ahead at weekends.

3. Phobia Escape Rooms, JLT

Two of Phobia's seven escape rooms are horror. "Live" mixes action, thriller and horror. "Hide n Seek" puts you in a child's playroom with a dark past. You get 60 minutes to escape, and the venue says its horror rooms may include live actors.

The price per player stays the same however many of you go. That makes this the cheapest horror escape room for two people.

  • Where: Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT). "Live" is at X1 Tower, Shop 1. "Hide n Seek" is at Red Diamond Building, office F-112. Open 11am to midnight from Monday to Thursday, and 10am to 1am from Friday to Sunday.
  • Price: AED 120 per player for every room, for 2 to 5 players.
  • Age: The website gives two answers: 10 and over on the room cards, and 15 and over in the FAQ. If anyone in your group is under 15, phone +971 4 218 0901 before you book.
  • Book: On phobia.ae, press "Book now" on the room. To cancel or move a booking, tell the venue at least three business days ahead.

4. NoWayOut, City Walk and JLT

At NoWayOut the horror rooms come with a live actor. There are two: "House of Bella" at City Walk and "Ring's" at JLT. Each lasts 60 minutes and takes 2 to 6 players.

Want the tension without the actor? Each branch also has a thriller room with no actor, "Psycho" at City Walk and "Maniac" at JLT, for AED 128 per player.

  • Where: City Walk: Shop B12-00-01, City Walk Mall, Al Madina Street, Al Wasl. JLT: Cluster M, HDS Business Center, Shop 05. The website gives one set of hours for both: 11am to midnight from Monday to Thursday, and 10am to 1am from Friday to Sunday.
  • Price: AED 168 per player for the two live-actor horror rooms.
  • Age: 14 and over for the horror and thriller rooms.
  • Book: On the NoWayOut rooms page, find the room and press "Select game". Then choose the number of players, the date and the time.

5. Horror Rooms by NoWayOut, Sheikh Zayed Road

This branch does only scary things, and it stays open later than anywhere else on this list. It has three horror escape rooms with a live actor: "Circus", "Silent Place" and "Unknown". Each takes 60 minutes, for 2 to 8 players.

It also has a Horror Cinema. You watch a horror film in a private room, and live actors and effects join in while it plays. A film takes about two hours.

  • Where: 1st Floor, Indigo Sky Building, Umm Al Sheif, Sheikh Zayed Road (Exit 41). Open 1pm to 2am from Monday to Thursday, and 10am to 3am from Friday to Sunday.
  • Price: From AED 168 per player for the horror rooms. You see the exact price after you choose the number of players and a time. The Horror Cinema film listed with a price was "Final Destination: Bloodlines", from AED 144 per person.
  • Age: 14 and over for the live-actor horror rooms. 18 and over for "Final Destination: Bloodlines".
  • Book: On the Horror Rooms page, press "Select game". On 12 October 2026 the room cards also carried a "Coming soon" label, so check that a time slot appears. If none appears, phone +971 4 218 0900.

6. Haunted Mansion at Game Over, Nakheel Mall

In the Haunted Mansion escape room, your team plays investigators who must find an ancient object inside a mansion. A live actor is in there with you, and you have up to 60 minutes. Game Over rates the room "Extreme", its hardest level.

Three more horror rooms share this branch: "Walking Death", which also has a live actor, "Horror Circus" and "Maniac: I Want To Play A Game".

  • Where: Nakheel Mall, 2nd floor, Palm Jumeirah. The venue's website calls it Palm Jumeirah Mall. Mall parking is free. Open daily from 10am to 10pm, and to midnight on Friday and Saturday.
  • Price: AED 205 each for two players, which is AED 410 in total. Four pay AED 195 each, and seven pay AED 170 each. A room takes 2 to 7 players.
  • Age: 12 is the recommended minimum. Children aged 7 to 11 can play only with a paying adult. There is no separate age rule for the horror rooms, so ask if the room suits your child.
  • Book: You must book ahead. On the Haunted Mansion page, choose the number of players and press "Book Now", or phone +971 4 577 3289. Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to sign the waiver and pay. If you are more than 20 minutes late, you lose the booking.

7. Game Over, Dubai Festival City Mall

Game Over's second Dubai branch has three horror escape rooms, and every one has a live actor. "Toymaker" and "Nightmare Hotel" are both rated "Extreme". "The Orphanage" is the third. Each game lasts up to 60 minutes, and the prices and age rules are the same as at Nakheel Mall.

  • Where: Dubai Festival City Mall, Level 2. Enter by Hard Rock Cafe and Marks & Spencer, and park in North Parking B1 or B2. The website gives two closing times: 11pm on weekdays and 1am on Friday and Saturday on the room pages, and 10pm and midnight in the FAQ. Trust the time slots that the booking page offers you.
  • Price: AED 205 each for two players, and AED 170 each for seven. A room takes 2 to 7 players.
  • Age: 12 recommended, and ages 7 to 11 only with a paying adult.
  • Book: On the Toymaker page, choose the number of players and press "Book Now", or phone +971 4 261 0217.

8. BlackOut, Al Quoz

BlackOut is the "Black-Out" half of the name people search for, and nobody under 16 gets in. That is the strictest age limit of any horror escape room in Dubai. It has four horror rooms, all with live actors: "Psychiatric", "Exorcism", "Torture" and "Chaos". The venue rates three of them "Hard".

Each game lasts 60 minutes. Bring friends if you can, because the venue recommends four or more players.

  • Where: Showroom 4, KML Business Center, Al Meydan Street, Al Quoz 1. No opening hours are printed. For Saturday 31 October 2026, the booking page offered start times from 10am to midnight.
  • Price: AED 230 each for two players, AED 200 each for four, and AED 170 each for groups of 7 to 10. A room takes 2 to 10 players, and "Torture" takes 2 to 7. The booking page does not say if VAT is included, so ask.
  • Age: 16 and over only.
  • Book: On the BlackOut horror escape rooms page, press "Book Now" on a room, then choose the number of players and a time. You can also phone +971 52 111 1041. Wear closed shoes and comfortable clothes.

9. Insidious Escape Room, Motor City

Here you choose the fear level yourself, from mild to what the venue calls absolute horror. It is one horror escape room with live actors, secret doors and tunnels, and you have 60 minutes inside. The venue says it is inspired by the Insidious films and is not part of them.

  • Where: Detroit House building, 3rd floor, office 301, Motor City. No opening hours are published, so ask when you book.
  • Price: AED 250 each for two players, AED 200 each for three or four, and AED 170 each for five or more, for 2 to 10 players. The venue adds 5% VAT, so two players pay AED 262.50 each. That makes this the dearest escape room for a pair.
  • Age: The venue says the room suits players aged 13 to 55.
  • Book: Book a time ahead on the Insidious Escape Room website, or phone or WhatsApp +971 58 900 9147. Tell the team about any medical condition or allergy.

10. Quest A, City Land Mall

Quest A has four rooms with horror titles: "Silent Hill", "Hospital 13", "The Black Phone" and "Supernatural: Under the Djinn's Spell". Each game lasts 60 minutes, for 2 to 8 players.

The website tells you little more than that, so phone before you go. Ask which rooms have actors, the minimum age and the opening hours.

  • Where: City Land Mall, Dubailand. The website gives no unit, level or opening hours.
  • Price: Between AED 160 and AED 230 a game, depending on the room, the day and the time. The website does not say if this is per person or per game. Ask: "Is the price per person or for the whole group?"
  • Age: Not published.
  • Book: On the Quest A rooms page, press "Book Now", or phone +971 50 271 9165.

11. The Haunted Hotel, IMG Worlds of Adventure

The Haunted Hotel is a walk-through maze inside an indoor theme park. You walk through corridors and changing scenes, and live scare actors surprise you. It belongs to the park's Haunted Town zone, which also has the Haunted Café.

There is no separate ticket, so you pay for the whole park and get all the rides too. Go to the maze early in your visit. The ticket seller Platinumlist says the queue can close up to two hours before the park closes when it is full.

  • Where: IMG Worlds of Adventure, City of Arabia, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road. Open 12pm to 10pm from Sunday to Thursday, and to 11pm on Friday and Saturday.
  • Price: General Park Admission, AED 365 with VAT. People of determination and senior citizens get 50% off at the ticket counter.
  • Age: 15 and over only. Guests aged 15 to 18 must show an ID card at the entrance. Pregnant women, guests with recent surgery and guests who use a wheelchair or crutches cannot enter.
  • Book: On the IMG Worlds tickets page, press the blue "AED 365" button beside "General Park Admission".

One name is missing from this list. Deep Dark Dubai in Al Quoz has a website, but its price page and booking page were empty on 12 October 2026, so it may not be open. Want to try it? Phone +971 55 954 9282 first.

Three Extra Haunted Houses in Dubai for Halloween 2026

Three more scares come with the weeks around Saturday 31 October 2026. Two are in theme parks, and one is a party with a maze. The numbers carry on from the list above.

12. Halloween at Haunted Town, IMG Worlds

For the whole of October, IMG Worlds puts on Halloween entertainment across the park, centred on the Haunted Town zone and the Haunted Hotel in item 11. IMG says something new is coming inside the Haunted Hotel this Halloween. It has not said what.

IMG has also promoted a "Haunted Town Night" party, with no date, price or age rule yet.

  • When: 1 to 31 October 2026, in normal park hours.
  • Price: The normal park ticket, AED 365. There is no separate Halloween ticket.
  • Age: The park is open to all ages. The Haunted Hotel is for ages 15 and over.
  • Book: Use the same General Park Admission ticket as in item 11.

13. Fright Nights IX, Motiongate Dubai

This is the theme park's ninth Halloween season, and its scare mazes come from horror films. Two are named so far: "SAW: Trial by Terror" and "The Strangers: Trapped". Gulf News reports that the park will announce the full line-up later.

  • When: From 7 October to Sunday 8 November 2026. The days of the week and the hours are not published yet.
  • Price: A Motiongate day ticket starts from AED 295 including tax. The park has not said if the mazes are inside that ticket or cost extra, so check on the ticket page before you pay.
  • Age: Not published for 2026.
  • Book: On the Motiongate page of the Dubai Parks and Resorts website, choose "MOTIONGATE Dubai Day Ticket" and press "Buy now". On 12 October the park's own Fright Nights page still showed the 2025 season, so read the dates on the page with care.

14. Halloween Hauntfest, Jumeirah Golf Estates

Hauntfest is a family Halloween party for one night, not a stand-alone haunted house. The scare is a Haunted Maze with zombies, mummies and other characters, and there is a zombie make-up area too.

  • When: Saturday 31 October 2026, from 5pm, at the clubhouse.
  • Price: AED 390 per person with soft drinks, or AED 575 with house drinks. Children aged 5 to 12 pay AED 210, and children under 4 are free. No price is given for a four-year-old, so ask.
  • Age: It is a family event, and no minimum age is published.
  • Book: You must book ahead. On the Hauntfest page, press "Book now", or phone +971 4 586 7777.

Is the Global Village Haunted House Coming Back in 2026?

Global Village has not said if its haunted house returns this season. The park opens for Season 31 on Wednesday 14 October 2026, and none of the season's announcements names the haunted house.

Earlier years give some idea of what to expect:

  • 2025: Khaleej Times reported that the haunted house, The Horror Hotel, was coming back with a new look. It was known before as House of Fear.
  • 2022: House of Fear opened with nine experiences, and entry cost AED 65. That is a 2022 price.
  • 2026: Entry to Global Village itself costs AED 25 on weekdays and AED 30 from Friday to Sunday and on public holidays. In past seasons you paid for the haunted house separately, inside the park.

What should you do now? After 14 October, open the Global Village app or globalvillage.ae and look under Carnaval, the park's funfair area. If The Horror Hotel is listed, the price will be shown there.

Haunted Houses in Dubai Compared by Price, Cheapest to Dearest

For two people, the cheapest scary ticket in Dubai is AED 55 each, and the dearest is AED 365 each. Here is what each place costs per person when two of you go:

Price per person when two people go
Cheapest to dearest. Prices read on 12 October 2026.
Supernatural, WAFI City MallAED 55

Haunted Hotel, IMG Worlds (whole park ticket)AED 365
Green is the cheapest. Orange is a full theme park ticket, so it buys a day of rides too.

Two names are missing from the chart. Quest A does not say if its price is per person. Motiongate has not said if its mazes cost extra on top of the day ticket from AED 295.

Going with friends? Escape rooms get cheaper per person as the group grows, so the order changes. Here is the total bill for four people:

Total bill when four people go
Four tickets, or one room for four players.
Supernatural (4 x AED 55)AED 220
Hysteria (4 x AED 105)AED 420

Insidious (4 x AED 200, plus 5% VAT)AED 840
IMG Worlds (4 x AED 365)AED 1,460
Game Over, BlackOut and Insidious charge less per person for four players than for two.

Look at what the money buys. Four tickets for Hysteria cost AED 420 and last about 10 minutes. Four places in a Game Over horror room cost AED 780 and last up to 60 minutes. Choose the kind of evening you want first, and then look at the price.

Which Haunted House in Dubai Fits Your Age and Nerve?

Start with the youngest person in your group, because the age limit decides more than the price does. Here is the minimum age at each place:

Minimum age at each scary attraction
From the venues' own pages.
Age 12
Game Over
12 is recommended. Ages 7 to 11 need a paying adult.
Age 13
Supernatural
13 is recommended. Younger children need an adult.
Insidious
Ages 13 to 55.
Age 14
NoWayOut and Horror Rooms
Live-actor rooms are 14 and over.
Age 15
Haunted Hotel, IMG
15 and over only. ID for ages 15 to 18.
Age 16
BlackOut
16 and over only.
Hysteria
Not recommended under 16.

Two venues are not on these cards. Phobia gives two different ages, 10 and over on its room cards and 15 and over in its FAQ. Quest A publishes no age limit.

Now answer three questions to pick one:

Which scary attraction in Dubai fits your group?
Answer from the top.
1. Is anyone in your group under 13?
Yes
Choose Supernatural, with an adult. Or ask Game Over which room suits a child.
No
Go to question 2.
2. Is this your first haunted house, or is someone nervous?
Yes
Start short: Supernatural (15 minutes, AED 55) or Hysteria (10 minutes, AED 105).
No
Go to question 3.
3. Is everyone 16 or over?
Yes
Any room is open to you. BlackOut is for 16 and over only.
No
Choose NoWayOut (14 and over), or the Haunted Hotel at IMG (15 and over).

Is your group a mix of brave and nervous? Insidious Escape Room lets you choose the fear level, so you can ask for a mild game.

How Long Each Horror House in Dubai Takes

The two walk-through haunted houses are short, and every horror escape room takes 60 minutes. That changes your plan. Hysteria fits into a shopping trip. An escape room is the main event of your evening.

Here are the minutes side by side:

How long you are inside
Minutes, as each venue states.
Hysteria, The Dubai Mallabout 10 minutes
Supernatural, WAFI City Mall15 minutes
Every horror escape room on this list60 minutes
IMG does not publish the length of the Haunted Hotel walk.

Add waiting time to these. Game Over asks you to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early. IMG does not publish the length of the Haunted Hotel walk, and you need several hours in the park to make the ticket worth the money.

What Is the Scariest Escape Room in Dubai?

Nobody ranks the horror escape rooms in Dubai officially, so there is no single scariest one. The venues do tell you a lot about themselves, though:

  • The strictest age limit: BlackOut admits only players aged 16 and over. The Haunted Hotel at IMG is next at 15, and the NoWayOut live-actor rooms are next at 14.
  • The hardest by the venue's own label: Game Over rates Haunted Mansion, Walking Death, Horror Circus, Toymaker and Nightmare Hotel "Extreme". BlackOut rates Psychiatric, Exorcism and Chaos "Hard".
  • The one where you set the fear: Insidious Escape Room lets players choose from mild to absolute horror.
  • The gentlest paid scares: Supernatural, at 15 minutes, and Hysteria, at about 10 minutes.

Want the hardest evening? Pick a live-actor room and ask the venue this when you book: "Which of your rooms is the most frightening, and can the actor touch players?"
