Who we are
Life moves faster in Dubai. Understanding it should too.
Dubai Fast Living exists because most of what is written about this city is written for people who have never been. It is either a brochure or a warning. Neither helps when you are trying to work out what a visa actually costs, whether school is open tomorrow, or what the fees are on top of an asking price.
So this is the other thing: what changed, what it costs, and what you need to do about it — written by someone who has to live with the answer.
Whose name is on the articles
Most pages are bylined Habibti in Dubai. That is a pen name, not a person — it is the name the writers on our team publish under, the way a magazine has a house voice. We would rather tell you that than let you assume there is one woman in Dubai writing four hundred guides. The people responsible for what is on the page are the two above, and corrections reach them directly.

How we work
- We say when we do not know. A guide that guesses at a fee is worse than no guide, because you will budget from it.
- We update rather than republish. Prices, rules and term dates change. Pages that track them keep one address and move with the facts, instead of leaving eight versions of the same answer online, seven of them wrong.
- Paid work is labelled as paid. Every time, at the top of the page. What we will and will not do is written down on Advertise rather than negotiated case by case.
- We ask before we measure. We count page views and carry advertising, we say so on Privacy, and readers in the UK and EU are asked first — with refusing exactly as easy as agreeing.
Getting things wrong
We will. Dubai changes rules faster than anywhere either of us has lived, and some of these pages cover things a government department announced three days ago. If you find something out of date or simply wrong, tell us — corrections get made the same week, and we say on the page that it changed.
Who is behind it
Dubai Fast Living is published by BlueMint Services FZCO, United Arab Emirates, a Dubai company that works with founders and businesses on brand and content. This site is our own: nobody pays for the guides to say what they say, and what we do sell is written down on Advertise.
