Dubai Design Week 2026 Tickets: Downtown Design (Paid, Available), Rest is FREE
Dubai Design Week 2026 is free to attend, so you only need a ticket for Downtown Design, the design fair held inside the week. Tickets are sold online on Platinumlist: a 1-Day Pass costs AED 80 and a 4-Day Pass costs AED 150, for the public days from Thursday 5 to Sunday 8 November 2026.
Dubai Design Week tickets 2026 are on sale now, but you only need them for one event. Platinumlist is selling two passes for Downtown Design, the design fair held as part of Dubai Design Week.
You need the ticket to only get into Downtown Design fair itself, where international and regional brands show furniture, lighting and interiors, and where The Forum talks and the Memphis Milano exhibition take place. Everything else at Dubai Design District (d3) from Tuesday 3 to Sunday 8 November is free, and you can walk in without booking. The "Buy tickets here" button on the official home page is for Downtown Design only.
Dubai Design Week Tickets 2026
Here you will find what is free, the two Downtown Design passes and their prices, the buying steps on Platinumlist, what happens after you pay, and how trade visitors register instead.
Is Dubai Design Week Free?
Yes. The Dubai Design Week festival is free to attend and open to visitors of all ages.
You do not buy a ticket and you do not register to see the installations, the exhibitions, Abwab, the brand activations or the weekend Marketplace. You simply walk into d3 between 10am and 10pm.
So when you search for "Dubai Design Week free entry", the answer is yes for the festival, and no for the fair inside it.
What Needs a Ticket: Downtown Design
Downtown Design is the only part of Dubai Design Week that you pay to enter. It is a design fair with international and regional brands, The Forum talks, the UAE Designer Exhibition and a Memphis Milano exhibition. Our Downtown Design 2026 guide has the exhibitors and the day-by-day hours.
The fair runs from 4 to 8 November, but the public can only go from Thursday 5 to Sunday 8 November. Wednesday 4 November is for invited press and VIP guests. A ticket gives you entry on these public days:
- Thursday 5, Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November: 12pm to 8pm
- Sunday 8 November: 12pm to 6pm
Dubai Design Week Ticket Price
A Downtown Design ticket costs AED 80 for one day or AED 150 for all four public days. Both passes are sold on Platinumlist, and both prices are the same on the Downtown Design website.
If you plan to go on two days or more, the 4-Day Pass is cheaper: two 1-Day Passes cost AED 160. Platinumlist's terms say tickets "may be subject to additional fees, taxes, or charges", so check the final total before you pay.
There is no separate price for children, students or groups on the ticket page.
How to Buy Downtown Design Tickets
You buy Downtown Design tickets online on Platinumlist, the ticket seller that both official websites link to. Have a payment method ready. These are the screens as we saw them on 16 October 2026.
Step 1: Open the Downtown Design page on Platinumlist
Open the button above. The page is called "Downtown Design 2026 in Dubai" and shows "Price from: 80 AED". Platinumlist sometimes shows a short waiting page first when many people are buying. Wait, and it opens the event page by itself.
Step 2: Press "Select tickets"
Press the Select tickets button. A new page opens with two choices:
- 4-Day Pass (November 5,6,7 and 8): 150.00 AED, valid on all four days.
- 1 Day Pass: 80.00 AED, single day entry.
Press More info next to a pass to see the days and hours it covers.
Step 3: Choose your pass and how many
Press + next to the pass you want, once for each person. When you add one pass type, the other one is greyed out, so buy each type in a separate order. The 1-Day Pass page does not ask you to choose a day.
If you have a discount code, press Promocode at the top right before you go on.
Step 4: Check the order and press Checkout
An Order details box shows the total and a Time Remaining clock that starts at 15 minutes. The clock shows how long you have to finish the order. Press Checkout to go to payment.
Step 5: Pay and get your ticket
After Checkout, Platinumlist asks for your details and your payment. We stopped before this screen and did not pay, so we cannot list its fields. Read the final total, including any fees, before you confirm.
After You Buy a Downtown Design Ticket
You show the ticket you bought at the entrance. Platinumlist's terms say "Attendees will be required to show their purchased tickets to gain entry". Keep the ticket on your phone, or in the Platinumlist app.
Two other rules from the terms are useful:
- You can transfer a ticket to someone else through the Platinumlist app.
- Refunds are only offered if the event is cancelled, postponed, moved or its times change by four hours or more. You must ask in writing within 48 hours of that announcement. The terms list no refund for other reasons, such as not being able to go.
Downtown Design Trade Registration
Design professionals do not buy a ticket. They register as trade visitors on an online form, and the form shows no price or payment step. Downtown Design describes trade visitors as people who "attend as a design industry professional": interior designers, architects, product designers, contractors, developers, hotel operators and retailers.
The form is called Trade Registration and asks for these, all required:
- Salutation, First Name and Last Name.
- Email, and your Mobile Number with the country code (it starts on "United Arab Emirates +971").
- Country of Residence and Nationality, from lists.
- Company Name and Job Title.
- Which best describes the nature of your business? The choices are Interior Design, Architecture, Product Design, Fit Out Contractor, Furniture Manufacturing, Procurement, Property Development, Asset Management, Hospitality Operator, Retail, Wholesale / Distribution and Other.
There is also a tick box, "I'm interested in applying to the Trade/Connect programme", and then the SUBMIT button. The form does not say what you receive after you submit, so check your email, including the junk folder.
Trade/Connect
Trade/Connect is a hosted programme for architects, interior designers and decision-makers on large projects, and the deadline to apply is 23 October 2026. Places are limited, and if you are chosen you must attend a set number of pre-arranged meetings with exhibitors. In return you get:
- a lounge designed by Etereo, with a daily cocktail hour
- free food and drink at the fair
- transport to and from the fair within Dubai, and free valet parking
- a five-star hotel, if you travel from outside the UAE
- invitations to networking events and industry sessions
The organisers add that terms and conditions apply. You apply with the tick box on the trade form, or by email to connect@downtowndesign.com.
Press
Journalists, editors, writers, bloggers and influencers apply for press access on a separate Downtown Design form.
Dubai Design Week Registration
You do not need to register to visit Dubai Design Week. The website offers a free account, but it only lets you build your own programme and save favourite events.
People also search for a "Dubai Design Week registration fee". There is no fee to visit. The word "fee" in these searches most likely comes from designers applying to show work, which is a separate process. The website no longer lists any 2026 open call.
Do Workshops and Talks Cost Money?
The prices of the Maker Space workshops are not published yet. The programme lists 20 workshops, and each page says "Further details about this workshop will be available soon". Until booking opens, nobody can tell you whether they are free.
The Forum talks are held inside Downtown Design, so you need a Downtown Design ticket, or trade or press access, to be in the fair where they take place. The 2026 talk schedule and any booking rules are not published yet.
