The 4 Hours of Dubai forms the second event of the Asian Le Mans Series 2025–26.

The 4 Hours of Dubai weekend is built around two main components.

#1: The Core Event – Asian Le Mans Series Race 3 & Race 4

At the centre of the weekend are Race 3 and Race 4 of the Asian Le Mans Series 2025–26.

These are two separate four-hour endurance races, both counting fully toward the championship.

#2: Support Racing Programme

Alongside the main endurance race, you’ll see:

• Formula Regional: Single-seater, open-wheel cars. They are faster and more powerful than F4, and a stepping stone to F2 / F1.
• Formula 4: This is an FIA-certified single-seater category that sits just below Formula 2 in the open-wheel ladder. The cars are fast, aerodynamically advanced, and driven by young drivers aiming for higher single-seater championships.

Important:

• These are separate races
• They do not affect the endurance race
• They exist to keep the track active all day

4H of Dubai 2026 Timings

• 31 January: 7.30 AM to 3.30 PM
• 1 February: 7.30 AM to 3.30 PM

Note: The 4 Hours of Dubai event runs from 29 January to 1 February, but online tickets page shows the above timings only. This is usually because initial dates are used for practice sessions, qualifying, and technical preparations.

Hour-by-hour breakdown of the event will be as follows:

Race Format

Here’s what actually happens during the race:

• Before the race, all cars qualify. The fastest car in each class earns pole position (the front-most starting spot on the grid).
• At race start, all cars from all three categories (LMP2, LMP3, GT) line up on the same grid and start together.
• Once the race begins, a four-hour race clock starts. The race runs continuously until the clock reaches four hours.
• Over the four hours, each car makes multiple pit stops for fuel, tyres, and driver changes. Drivers rotate through stints (a stint is the time a single driver spends in the car before handing it over).
• If incidents occur on track, penalties are applied. These include time penalties, which are often served during a pit stop (the car must remain stationary for the penalty time before rejoining).
• When the four-hour clock expires, the leading car completes the lap it is on, and the race ends as it crosses the finish line.
• Results are then declared class by class: LMP2 has its own winner
• LMP3 has its own winner
• GT has its own winner

Asian Le Mans Series 2026

The Asian Le Mans Series 2025-2026 is underway.

The Asian Le Mans Series is a professional endurance racing championship organised by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO). Prototype and GT cars compete in long-distance races across a compact, six-race season.

Why Asian Le Mans matters: Top finishers in each class earn automatic entries to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The 2025–2026 Asian Le Mans Series consists of six endurance races, spread across three race weekends, with two races held at each venue.

Round 1: Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia (Races 1 & 2 | December 2025)

The 2025–26 Asian Le Mans season got underway at Sepang International Circuit. The winners of each race were as follows:

Across the Sepang weekend, Cetilar Racing emerged as the early standout in LMP2, winning both races and leaving Malaysia with maximum momentum heading into the Middle East rounds.

Round 2: Dubai Autodrome, UAE (Races 3 & 4 | 29 January – 1 February 2026)

The championship now moves to Dubai Autodrome for the 4 Hours of Dubai, where Race 3 and Race 4 will form the middle chapter of the season.

All eyes will be on whether Cetilar Racing can extend its perfect LMP2 run. Or whether Algarve Pro Racing, last season’s champions and close challengers at Sepang, can swing the momentum back in their favour.

Round 3: Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi (Races 5 & 6 | 6–8 February 2026)

The final two races of the season will be held at Yas Marina Circuit, bringing the 2025–26 Asian Le Mans Series to its conclusion.
