For UAE Flag Day on Tuesday 3 November 2026, drawing and poster ideas are easiest to find in short YouTube tutorials and on Pinterest. This list has 10 videos, from 2 to 12 minutes long, and 6 Pinterest boards and idea pages. Free printable colouring pages and Twinkl classroom sheets are listed as well.

The school has asked for a Flag Day drawing or a poster, and you need an idea tonight. These are the best UAE Flag Day drawing and poster ideas we could find online: short videos you can draw along with, and Pinterest boards to browse for a layout.

The first four videos play right on this page. Flag Day is on Tuesday 3 November 2026, so there is still time to do it well.

UAE Flag Day 2026 Drawing and Poster Ideas

In this guide you will find 10 drawing and poster videos, then 6 Pinterest boards and idea pages, then three easy ideas of our own with the flag's colours in the right order. After that come free colouring pages to print and the classroom sheets on Twinkl.

UAE Flag Day Drawing Videos to Follow Step by Step

The quickest way to a finished drawing is to follow one short video step by step, pausing after each line. Seven videos are listed here. We watched the first four, so we can tell you what is drawn in them and with what. All four show only a hand drawing the flag, and all are under three and a half minutes.

Not sure where to begin? This shows the best starting point for a parent, a pupil and a teacher.

Where to start on this page
The numbers are the numbers in the list below.
If you are
A parent of a young child
Start with video 2, 3 or 5: a flat flag, drawn slowly.
Or print a colouring page from the printables section.
If you are
A pupil with a poster to make
Draw the flag first with video 1, then look at the poster videos, 8 to 10.
For layouts, browse Pinterest pages 11 and 14.
If you are
A teacher planning a class
Pinterest board 15 is the classroom one.
The Twinkl section lists ready sheets by age.

Press play on any of the first four and the video opens here. YouTube may show its own advert before it starts.

1. How to Draw the National Flag of UAE, by Art For All

This one draws a UAE flag on a pole, gently waving, so the result looks more finished than a flat rectangle. The outline goes down first in black marker, and then the red band and the green, white and black stripes are coloured in with markers or felt pens.

It suits primary-age children. The wavy shape needs a little more control than a straight flag, so a younger child may want help with the outline. It is also the most watched video on this list, with more than 330,000 views by October 2026.

  • Length: 3 minutes 17 seconds.
  • You need: a black marker and coloured markers or felt pens.

2. How to Draw UAE National Flag, by Draw Colourful

Here the flag is flat and rectangular, and it is painted with a brush from a small box of watercolours. The outline and the lines for the stripes are ruled first. Then the red band on the left is painted, then green on top and black at the bottom, and the white stripe is simply left as paper.

It is the shortest video here and a good one for young children, as long as an adult sets out the paints and the water.

  • Length: 2 minutes 16 seconds.
  • You need: a pencil, a ruler, watercolour paints and a brush.

3. How to Draw the UAE Flag Easy, by InkCraft Inkling

No paint and no markers at home? This video uses colour pencils only. It draws a small, flat flag in the upper part of the page and shades the stripes in one at a time, green and then black, with the white stripe left blank.

The title calls it a pencil tutorial for beginners, and that is fair: the shading is slow and easy to copy. It is from 2025, which makes it the newest of the four.

  • Length: 2 minutes 49 seconds.
  • You need: a pencil and colour pencils in red, green and black.

4. How to Draw The Flag of United Arab Emirates, by Ranggi Drawing

This video ends on a flat flag with a dark outline that fills the centre of the page: the red band upright on the left, then the green, white and black stripes. A flag this size is a good base for a poster, because there is room above and below it for a heading and a line of text.

The tools are not named, so use whatever colours you have. It suits any child who can rule a straight line.

  • Length: 2 minutes 39 seconds.
  • You need: a pencil, a ruler and any colours.

Those four cover three different materials, so you can choose by what is already in the house:

Pick a video by what you have at home

Markers or felt pens
Video 1, 3:17
A waving flag on a pole.
Paint and a brush
Video 2, 2:16
A flat flag, painted.
Colour pencils
Video 3, 2:49
A small flat flag, shaded.
Any colours you like
Video 4, 2:39

The next three open on YouTube. We saw only part of the first of them and none of the other two, so for those two we go by the title and the length.

5. How to Draw UAE Flag Easy Drawing Step by Step, by Incredible Drawings

This is a slow pencil outline of a flat flag: the rectangle, the upright band on the left and the two lines that make the three stripes. It takes five and a half minutes over a very simple shape, and that slow pace is what makes it right for a very young child who copies one line at a time.

The part we watched has no colour in it, so keep your own red, green and black ready for the end.

6. Let's Draw the National Flag of U.A.E, by Let's Draw

The title promises a step-by-step drawing of the national flag, and the channel makes its videos for children. It is one of the few plain flag videos that is made for Flag Day itself: the uploader posted it on 1 November 2022 and names 3 November.

7. How to Draw Kids Waving UAE National Flag, by Art For All

Has your child already drawn the flag and wants something harder? The title promises children waving the UAE flag, from the same channel as video 1. Drawing people is a step up from drawing a rectangle, so this one is for older primary children.

UAE Flag Day Poster Ideas on YouTube

For a poster, there are three videos worth opening, and it is fair to say how they were chosen. We could not watch any Flag Day poster tutorial in full, so these three are picked from their titles and lengths, and there is no 2026 video yet: the newest is from November 2025.

A poster is a flag plus two more things: a heading and a short message. So watch for how the video places the flag on the page, and use your own words.

8. UAE Flag Day Poster, by Divin and Aben Creation

The title promises a UAE Flag Day poster with a drawing of the national flag. It comes from a small family art channel that posts a Flag Day or National Day poster most years, and this one, from 2020, is its most watched.

9. UAE Flag Day Drawing and Flag Day Posters, by Easy to Draw

This is the newest video on the list, uploaded on 29 November 2025. The title promises a Flag Day drawing and Flag Day posters, and the uploader describes it as simple and for kids.

10. Draw a Poster on 50th National Day UAE, by Johaans Drawing World

This is the long one, for an older child with a free evening. The title promises a step-by-step poster, and the uploader lists a pencil, a marker and colour pencils as the materials.

It was made for the 50th National Day in 2021, not for Flag Day. So follow the drawing and change the wording to Flag Day and this year's date.

Pinterest Boards for UAE Flag Day Drawing and Poster Ideas

Pinterest is the place to browse many ideas quickly before you choose one to draw. Six pages are worth opening. Three are idea pages, which are Pinterest's own endless feeds on a topic, and three are boards that one person has collected.

Two things to know first. Pinterest shows about 20 pins and then asks you to sign in to see more. And many of the pictures there are artwork that belongs to someone else, so use them as ideas to draw from, not as images to print and hand in.

11. UAE Flag Day Drawing (Pinterest idea page)

Start here, because this page matches the task most closely. Pinterest files it under drawings, and the searches it suggests beside it are about activities and crafts for kids and about design. It suits a parent or pupil who wants to look at many drawings before picking one.

12. Flag Day UAE Crafts for Kids (Pinterest idea page)

This is the craft side: things to make with paper and glue, not only to draw. It is best for parents of young children and for nursery teachers.

13. UAE Flag Day Activities for Kids (Pinterest idea page)

Pinterest files this page under hands-on activities for children. Open it if you want something for a group to do together, at home or in class, more than a single drawing.

14. Uae flag day, a board by khawla

This board has 25 pins. Its title points to flag art, graphic designs, backgrounds and templates, which makes it more useful for the layout of a poster than for a small child's drawing.

15. uae ideas for classroom, a board by Bilkis Saleh

With 43 pins, this is the largest board on the list and the one aimed at teachers. Its title points to classroom crafts and activities for both Flag Day and National Day. It was started in 2017, so expect well-tried ideas, not new ones.

16. Uae flag, a board by ZIMAL AASIM

A small board of 10 pins. Its title points to logos, vector art and Flag Day drawings, so it suits an older pupil who wants a clean, graphic look for a poster.

Three Easy UAE Flag Day Drawing Ideas to Start With

If you would like to begin without a screen, here are three easy ideas of our own. Each one needs only paper and something to colour with.

  1. A flag on a pole against a skyline. Draw a tall pole on one side of the page with the flag at the top, and a simple row of towers low along the bottom. Colour the flag fully and keep the buildings in grey pencil, so the flag is the brightest thing on the page.
  2. A hand-print flag. Press red hand prints one above the other on the left of the page, then a row of green prints at the top right and a row of black prints at the bottom right. Leave the white paper between them as the white stripe.
  3. A poster with the date and one line. Put the flag in the middle, write "UAE Flag Day, 3 November 2026" above it, and add one short line of your own about unity below. Big, neat letters matter more than decoration.

Whichever you choose, the flag itself has to be right. The red band stands upright on the left, and to its right come green, white and black from top to bottom.

Get the colours in the right order
The UAE flag as you look at it. It is twice as wide as it is high.
Red: an upright band on the left, a quarter of the width
Green: the top stripe
White: the middle stripe
Black: the bottom stripe
The three stripes are the same height. On white paper, leave the middle stripe blank and draw a thin line around the flag.

The flag is the country's national symbol, so draw it whole and clean, with all four colours in their places. If you want to write what each colour stands for, our guide to what the UAE flag colours mean gives the four meanings. Free UAE Flag Printables and Colouring Pages

For a very young child, or for a flag outline to trace, these pages let you print a UAE flag colouring page free, with no sign-in:

Use them at home or in class, and check the coloured flag beside your child's page before the red goes on.

Teacher Resources on Twinkl

Twinkl's UAE site lists 75 teaching resources for "UAE Flag Day", and you can browse them and read each page without an account. Four are closest to a drawing or poster task:

What about the cost? Twinkl needs an account to download. The pages are marked "free download", and Twinkl offers a 30-day free trial, but we did not test which files come with a free account alone. Twinkl's own blog marks only the Flag Day Colouring Sheet with the word "free".

That blog post, Unique UAE Flag Day Ideas, is free to read and is a good single link for parents of under-fives.

FAQs

When is UAE Flag Day 2026?

UAE Flag Day is on Tuesday 3 November 2026. A school drawing or poster for it is usually needed on or before that day, so ask the class teacher for the exact date.

What is the right order of the colours on the UAE flag?

The red band stands upright on the left and takes a quarter of the flag's width. To its right are three equal stripes: green at the top, white in the middle and black at the bottom. The flag is twice as wide as it is high.

What is an easy UAE Flag Day drawing for kids?

A flat UAE flag is the easiest drawing. Rule a rectangle twice as wide as it is high, mark off a quarter on the left for the red band, and divide the rest into three equal stripes. Videos 2, 3 and 5 on this page show it slowly.

How do you draw the UAE flag with pencil?

Use a pencil and a ruler for the outline, then colour pencils for the red, green and black, and leave the white stripe as blank paper. Video 3 on this page shows it in 2 minutes 49 seconds, and video 5 shows a slow pencil outline.

Where can I print a free UAE flag colouring page?

Webtools, HP Printables, Flag Color Codes and WorldFlags.net each have a UAE flag colouring page that prints without a sign-in. Webtools and HP state that their pages are for personal use.
