The Philippine government is offering a one-time AED 730 cash payment to Filipino workers in Dubai and the Northern Emirates whose income was cut by the Middle East conflict. The application is entirely online, opens twice a week, and fills up fast. Here is everything you need to know — including the shortcut on documents that most applicants missed.
What is the MWO Dubai AED 730 financial assistance?
The Philippine Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) — the government body that oversees the welfare of overseas Filipino workers globally — allocated emergency funds for land-based workers in the Middle East hit by the US-Israel-Iran conflict. The Migrant Workers Office (MWO) Dubai handles applications for Dubai and the Northern Emirates (Ajman, Sharjah, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain).
Am I eligible for the AED 730 OFW aid?
You must meet all four conditions below at the same time.

When does the MWO Dubai application open — and how fast does it fill?
This is the part most workers miss. The application is not open all week. The MWO releases the form twice a week only — every Tuesday and Friday at 8am. Each window accepts exactly 820 applications and closes at 11:59pm, or earlier when full. The first window on 28 April received 822 submissions. Do not wait until the afternoon.
Tuesday at 8am: Form goes live at mwodubai.org & MWO Dubai Facebook → 820 slots
Friday at 8am: New link published (Tuesday’s link does not work again) → 820 slots
Do NOT visit the office. Workers who go to Al Qusais in person are turned away.
What documents do you actually need? (It is simpler than it looks)
When the MWO published its advisory, many applicants saw a long list and assumed they needed everything on it. They do not. You need one document from each of three categories only.
| Category | Pick ONE document |
|---|---|
| 📷 Identity | Clear copy of your Philippine passport bio page |
| 💼 Proof of UAE employment | Employment contract or UAE visa or Emirates ID or labour card |
| ⚠️ Proof of work disruption | Employer certification or reduced payslips or termination notice or visa cancellation or notarised affidavit (sariling salaysay) |
The sariling salaysay (personal statement) route is available for workers who do not have a formal termination letter. It must be certified by the MWO-Dubai Labour Attaché or the president of a recognised Filipino community organisation.
Step-by-step: how to apply and collect your AED 730
What if you miss the first round of funding?
The initial 3,271-slot fund is not the final tranche. Additional funding batches depend on approvals from Manila and are released as applications are processed. The MWO has not announced a cut-off date. Workers who miss a window should continue applying every Tuesday and Friday as additional tranches are confirmed.
